Problems we solve

The questions
retirement raises.

Most people come to us with one of these on their mind. Here’s how we help with each one.

Will I run out of money in retirement?

We help you build an income plan to last you a lifetime, and can evaluate multiple scenarios in retirement.

Will I pay too much in taxes?

We work with your CPA and leverage cutting-edge technology to take a “windshield” approach to taxes in retirement, making sure you’re paying what’s owed but don’t leave a tip!

Do I need insurance and do I have the right type?

We help you review everything from your home, auto, & liability coverage, to life insurance, long-term care and more.

What do I do about Medicare?

We’ve got you covered, whether it’s Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage, or Prescription Drug Coverage. We’ll help you get the right coverage and help you change when needed.

How do I avoid probate and protect my assets once I’m gone?

Part of doing proper planning is making sure your legal documents are in order. We can help you choose what is needed, then help you set them up and maintain them going forward.

What’s the best way to claim my Social Security?

We will run your Social Security options so that you don’t leave money on the table and it’s integrated with your retirement income plan.

What’s the best way to create income throughout my retirement?

We walk through different income strategies to help you make the most of your hard-earned money, and create a plan that works whatever the future may hold.

What will I do in retirement?

Retirees who delegate their financial planning to an expert have more time and energy to spend on things they enjoy. We know that having community and an intentional plan are important, so we’ve built our Retirement Readiness™ process to help with this.

What about forks-in-the-road and blind spots I’m not even aware of?

Our Retirement Readiness™ process analyzes the 15 biggest risks people face in retirement. This is an ongoing process we continually review, so you’re never left to make decisions without a trusted advisor by your side.

How we solve them

Six steps,
no surprises.

We get to know you before anything is decided. You’ll see your Retirement Risks Analysis before you pay us anything, and we only go on together if it’s a good fit for both of us.

Start with an Intro Call
  1. Step 1

    Intro Call

You share your retirement concerns and a bit about yourself. We’ll share a bit about us and answer your initial questions. From there we mutually decide to schedule a Power Hour meeting or part ways as friends. We’ll even help you find another advisory firm if we’re not a good fit.

  2. Step 2

    Power Hour

We discuss your retirement situation in more detail. This often includes statements, balance sheet, tax returns, and whatever financially relevant info you’re comfortable sharing. This can also include your vision for retirement and goals you’d like to accomplish. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the answers, as our Retirement Readiness™ process is designed to help us get there!

  3. Step 3

    Share Our Findings

This is where you see the results of everything you’ve shared up to this point, including your Retirement Risks Analysis with your graded 15 risks. We include potential solutions if we’re able to help.

Your Retirement Risks Analysis is a two-page report that grades all 15 retirement risks red, yellow or green. It’s yours to keep. See the 15 risks

  4. Step 4

    Decision Step

    Outcome A

For whatever reason, we’re not the best match. If you prefer, we’ll help you find another advisor.

    Outcome B

We’re mutually a great fit, and we’ll review the next steps to proceed.

  5. Step 5

    Plan Implementation

We will complete any new paperwork that needs to be signed and will help you link to any technology we will be using. After that, the rest of the work is on our shoulders.

  6. Step 6

    Service Calendar & Strategy Meetings

We monitor and update your plan with an easy-to-follow service calendar, reviewing different planning topics each month. This way you accomplish tasks along the way in bite-size steps, rather than feeling like everything has to be done at once.

We also leverage strategy meetings because often time-sensitive issues arise that cannot wait for the next scheduled meeting. This could involve tax law changes, income decisions, Social Security and Medicare choices, or an endless list of agenda items that will come up throughout the life of our relationship.

The risks are the same for everyone. Your report shows which ones are red, yellow or green for you, and it’s yours to keep.
